It is hard to believe I am mentioning fall now, but here on Green Button Farm we are not only thinking about fall, we are acting on it! New pastures are being tilled to expand our garden space, seeds are being planted, and the to do list is growing. I have even put the piggies to work rooting up old garden spaces, and they are helping to make the soil rich and fertile! What does this mean for you? Well, I am glad you asked. It means you will be able to continue with fresh veggies this fall and winter. Our fall/winter CSA will begin in October and run through mid March.  It will be 20 weeks of produce (we added the extra 3 weeks to accommodate holidays and very poor weather). You can expect to receive a variety of produce during this time.  In early fall you will see much of the same as what you see the end of summer: peppers, tomatoes, squashes, carrots, herbs, cukes, lettuce (just to name a few).  As the season and cooler weather progresses you will enjoy kale, arugula, lettuce, broccoli, apples, pumpkins, squash, radish, radicchio, leek, kohlrabi, cabbage, peas, scallions, onions, sweet potatoes, turnips, beets, asparagus (maybe – hoping this crop produces more), cauliflower, Chard, collards. I am positive I am forgetting some, but that should give you a good picture.

speaking of a good picture...
